An era, lovingly rebuilt
EasyAmp plays your local music through its own GStreamer pipeline with a built-in parametric EQ, and shows a live spectrum or analog VU meters. Because it owns its own window, the chrome is pixel-styled to evoke the era - beveled gunmetal, green LCD readouts, atomic-green meters.
Original artwork and an original name. EasyAmp uses no trademarked names, logos, or skin bitmaps from any media player. It's a tribute to an era, not a clone of a product.
▤ 10-to-32 band parametric EQ
Set frequency, Q, gain, and filter type per band - a true parametric EQ, not a fixed graphic one. Custom rotary knobs with green LCD readouts handle preamp, in/out gain, L/R balance, and cassette-style varispeed pitch.
▮ Spectrum, VU & waveform
Switch between a live spectrum analyzer, dual analog VU meters with a real dB scale, and a waveform - plus EasyEffects-style L/R LED dB meters in the EQ. The visualizer monitors system output; the EQ processes EasyAmp's own playback only.
⇄ APO & AutoEQ import/export
Load and save Equalizer-APO config.txt and AutoEQ GraphicEQ files, or use the built-in presets - including an "EasyAmp" house curve (flat stays the default).
♪ Plays everything
Anything GStreamer decodes - MP3, FLAC, WAV, OGG, Opus, M4A - with transport controls, seek, track metadata, and .m3u load/save.
⊟ Two-tab single window
A footer toggle flips between PLAYER and EQUALIZER; the equalizer fills the window with a docked mini-player. One beveled gunmetal skin with green LCD readouts throughout.
⭳ Built-in update check
EasyAmp checks dl.easyampstereo.com on launch and lights an amber "update available" badge in the footer on every OS - including the Flatpak - linking straight to the latest build. Self-hosted, no app store required.
